The Don Bosco National Forum for the Young-at-Risk [YaR] commenced its 14th National Seminar on 18 September 2019 at the Don Bosco Provincial House, Matunga-Mumbai on the theme 'Imagine YaR Ministry: Journeying Together into Tomorrow.' A total of 114 participants comprising grassroots activists, trainers, mobilisers, and coordinators from 180 Don Bosco YaR centres across India have congregated to enquire, reflect, study and plan the way forward.. The school received yet another prestigious award for its contribution in the field of education and excellence in the all round formation of the students. Don Bosco High School, Matunga was placed second both in the city of Mumbai and the state of Maharashtra in the Boys School category. The glittering award function was held at Maharashtra Educator's summit at the Lalit, Mumbai on 14th September 2019. Lonavla: The Salesians of INB Province of St Francis Xavier participated in a solemn, simple and short ceremony to welcome Father Savio Silveira as the 11th Provincial at Don Bosco Lonavla on September 12, 2019. From 10 to 14 September, Fr Angel Fernandez Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, is visiting Dimapur, Salesian Province of Dimapur, which includes the Northeast Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh, Upper Assam, Manipur and Nagaland. On the afternoon of 10 September, he was warmly welcomed by Father Jose Kuruvachira, provincial of Dimapur Province, by Salesians and other members of the Salesian Family at Dimapur Airport.

The Salesian Youth Movement, India (SYM - India) had its Youth Leaders and Animators Formation (LAF) programme organised in 4 regions, starting in the last week of July till the first of September 2019. This flagship programme of the Movement is meant for the leaders of local units and their animators. Initiated three years back with the aim to strengthen and embolden the Movement, regional approach was adopted in carrying out the formation of the young leaders and their animators, given the geographical vastness and diverse nature of its inhabitants. The 11 different provinces are grouped into 4 regions (South, West, Northeast & Centre) taking into consideration closeness to each other with regard to cultures, language, food habits and possibilities of immediate collaboration. .
