- Religious Education Quarterly Journal (Estd 1983) After a 5 year lapse - A fantabulous and re-vamped Catechetics India will be re-launched in Kolkata on Sunday 26 August 2018. The publication was started as the flagship journal of Don Bosco Catechetics India - by the first Salesian Catechetical Centre in India (Calcutta) in 1977 under its Director and Rector late Father Luciano Colussi SDB who authored the first book on CHILD CATECHESIS. Those days, there used to be also an annual meeting of Salesians (both SDB and FMA) Catechetical experts. Today Don Bosco Catechetical and Multimedia Centre (DBCMC) is called Nitika Don Bosco.. A three volume work, Robibarer Shastropater Bhumika Shongkolpan, a literal Bengali translation of the late Father John Larrea's book 'Introduction to the Sunday Readings' was released on 9 August by Father Nirmol Gomes, the Provincial of Salesian Province of Kolkata on the occasion of the annual meeting of Salesian parish priests held in the provincial house. . Sonada, Darjeeling -- Students of one of the most vulnerable regions in the country for victims of human trafficking got alert on women and child trafficking by one of the leading Non Government Organisations working in the filed for over a decade. Sonada - In a move to further enhance post novitiate formation in Kolkata province, Saleisan College Sonada Community which comprised of the studentate of Philosophy and degree college since 1938, has been formed into two seperate communities with two Rectors and Principals.
